Ohio Knanaya Community Member Begins a Year of Faith, Service and Purpose

Ohio: Rhema Thomas Vallippadavil, a proud member of the Knanaya community of Ohio, has been crowned Miss Firelands Queen 2026–2027. At just 15 years old and entering her sophomore year of high school, Rhema is embracing the honor with gratitude, faith, and a strong commitment to serving others.

The daughter of Lenus and Divya Vallippadavil, Rhema is the eldest daughter in a family of five children. She credits her family for shaping her values and encouraging her to pursue her goals while remaining grounded in faith and service.

Rhema has already demonstrated a strong commitment to community service. During the summer, she volunteered at Admirals Point Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, spending time with residents and offering companionship, encouragement, and support. She has also earned a certification in Medical Coding, reflecting her growing interest in healthcare.

Her passion for healthcare is closely connected to a deeply personal experience. As a young child, Rhema became seriously ill and spent several months undergoing treatment at Texas Children’s Hospital in Houston, Texas. Numerous physicians and specialists worked to determine the cause of her illness while she underwent extensive treatment. The long period of uncertainty was a difficult experience for Rhema and her family.

Throughout that challenging time, the family relied strongly on their faith. Rhema’s recovery became a lasting reminder of the power of hope, prayer, and trust in God. As she grew older, she began turning that experience into a desire to help others facing similar challenges.

Rhema now hopes to pursue a career in healthcare and eventually establish a hospital called “Faith Hospital.” Her vision is to create a place where doctors and healthcare professionals can volunteer their services and where quality medical care can be made more accessible to people who may otherwise be unable to afford it.

Through her volunteer work at rehabilitation centers, Rhema continues to connect with people living with long-term medical challenges. She believes that a few words of encouragement, an act of kindness, or a simple prayer can remind someone that they are not alone.

Rhema lives by the words, “Beauty begins the moment you decide to be yourself.”

Reflecting on her victory, Rhema described winning the Miss Firelands title as both exciting and humbling.

“Winning Miss Firelands honestly feels a little unreal. When they called my name, I was filled with so many emotions at once. I felt excited, grateful, nervous, and honestly just really proud of myself. I put a lot of time and effort into this experience, so having it all pay off was such a special moment for me,” she said.

For Rhema, the crown represents far more than a title. It symbolizes faith, responsibility, service, and the opportunity to inspire others.

“I dedicate this crown to God. It comes with great responsibility and respect, and I am honored to carry it,” Rhema said.

Representing the community she deeply values is another important part of her new role. During her reign, she hopes to meet new people, become more involved in community activities, serve others, and create meaningful memories that will remain with her for years to come.

Rhema expressed her sincere gratitude to her parents and family, friends, mentors, and all those who believed in her and supported her throughout her journey.

As Miss Firelands Queen 2026–2027, Rhema Thomas Vallippadavil looks forward to a year marked by faith, service, personal growth, and purpose, while representing her community with pride and using her platform to encourage and inspire others.
