Chicago: The Cherupushpa Mission League (CML) Regional Committee is organizing Nadavili and traditional Knanaya song competitions for children in the Knanaya Catholic Region of North America. Students enrolled in catechism classes in parishes and missions across the region are eligible to participate in the competitions.
Participants are instructed to record and submit videos of children singing the “Marthoman” Knanaya song and performing the traditional Nadavili to the regional committee through their respective parishes.
The first three winners will receive cash prizes of $400, $200, and $100 respectively, along with trophies and certificates. A special cash award will also be presented for the most popular video entry.
The first prize for the Nadavili competition is sponsored by the Knai Thommen Center through the Jose–Shiny Kizhakkanadiyil family. The other cash prizes for the Nadavili competition are sponsored by the Joby–Jaimol Kalappurakkal family of Tampa.
