Canada: The Knanaya Fest 2026, organized under the auspices of Knanaya Catholic Congress in the Western Ontario region, was held with great enthusiasm and notable participation.
The event, led by KCWF and KCYL along with KCC, featured a wide range of competitions open to all age groups. Programs highlighting Knanaya heritage and values added vibrant color and cultural richness to the fest.
The highlight of the day was the “Knanaya Achayan–Achayathi 2026” couple competition. Abhilash and Liti Mangalathu emerged as winners, while Jebin and Abhilasha Cherukattoor secured second place and Aneesh and Swapna Chettiyath won third place.
The official inauguration was performed by Fr. Saji Chazhissery, Vicar of Sacred Heart Church. KCC President Feby Thaikkakath, Secretary Majeesh Keezhedathu Malayil, KCWF President Jesly Puthenpurayil, and Secretary Anjana Roby were among the dignitaries present.
Sponsors and judges were honored during the event, followed by the prize distribution ceremony. A musical program led by renowned singer and presenter Vidyasankar energized the audience, while cultural performances by members added to the festive spirit.
More than 350 community members participated in the event, which concluded successfully. The program was coordinated by a dedicated team including Shijo Mangattu, Sibi Mulayinkal, Josmon Thekkilakkattil, Jibin Purathechira, Shelly Puthenpurayil, Rijo Mangattu, Vinu Vadakke Maniyamkunnel, Ajo Kaithakanirappel, Sheeba Mullur, Simi Kalambakuzhiyil, Liza Perumappadam, Elizabeth Korappillil, Milan Kalarikkal, Ashitha Chettiyath, Angel Vadakke Maniyamkunnel, and Elizabeth Mullur.
