Newfoundland and Labrador: The Knanaya Catholic Community of Newfoundland and Labrador (KCCNL) successfully organised its Family Meet 2026, bringing together more than 100 members from different parts of Newfoundland. The enthusiastic participation was a remarkable milestone for KCCNL, which was established only two years ago, reflecting the steady growth and unity of the community.

The two-day family camp, held at Carbonear near St. John’s, featured a variety of activities for all age groups, including cultural performances by children and adults, games, beach outings, and recreational programmes. The gathering served as a meaningful platform to strengthen the unity, faith, and rich heritage of the Knanaya community in Newfoundland.

During the event, students leaving the province to pursue higher education were felicitated and presented with mementoes by KCCNL in recognition of their achievements. The Executive Committee expressed its gratitude to all members, subcommittees, and sponsors whose dedicated efforts contributed to the grand success of the camp.

KCCNL President Jayesh Onassheril presided over the function. General Secretary Thomson Philip delivered the welcome address, while Treasurer Renil Kuriakose proposed the vote of thanks. Unit conveners Jijo Mathew and Jith Kurian extended their felicitations.
