Chicago: The Marriage Preparation Course organized by the Knanaya Region of the St. Thomas Syro-Malabar Diocese of Chicago was held from March 6 to 8 at St. Mary’s Knanaya Catholic Church, Morton Grove. A large number of young men and women from various states across the United States as well as from Canada participated in the program.

Classes covering various important aspects of married life were led by Knanaya Region Director and Vicar General Fr. Thomas Mulavanal, St. Mary’s Knanaya Church, Morton Grove Vicar Fr. Siju Mudakkodiyil, Fr. Biju Tharayil, Family Commission Coordinator Tony Pullappallil, Benny Kanjirapparra, Jaya Kulangara, Ajimol Puthenpurayil, Ancy Chelackal, Shibu & Nimisha Kalathikottiyil, Linu Padikkapparambil, and Sinu Sunil Kannarathil. Participants shared that the knowledge gained through the course would be a valuable foundation for the success of their future family life.

Vicar General Fr. Thomas Mulavanal was the main celebrant for the concluding Holy Mass and distributed certificates to the participants. Representing the youth, Neil Edatt and Thushara Korattyil also addressed the gathering.

The three-day camp was successfully organized under the leadership of Assistant Vicar Fr. Aneesh Maveliputhenpurayil, Sr. Shalom, Sr. Silverius, and trustees Xavier Naduparambil, Sunny Kannala, Joby Polackal, Majo Kunnassery, and Felix Palakan.
