Ettumanoor: The KCWA Kaipuzha Forane celebrated this year’s Grandparents’ Day with the Ettumanoor Unit hosting the event.

Forane President Mini James Kaduthodil presided over the gathering, while Unit Secretary Ruby Alex Kaduthodiyil welcomed the participants. Unit Chaplain Fr. Luke Karimpil delivered the introductory message, and Forane Vicar Fr. Thomas Puthiyakunnel inaugurated the programme. Forane Chaplain Fr. Prince Mulakumatthil and KCC Kaipuzha Forane President Shiby Pazhempally also addressed the gathering.

As part of the celebrations, competitions in traditional evening snacks and homemade native juices, along with the Graceful Grandmother contest, were conducted. Lucy George Pouwathel of the Palathuruth Unit was crowned Graceful Grandmother. In the traditional snacks and native juice competitions, the Ettumanoor Unit secured first place, while the Makoodalayam Unit won second place.

A musical performance by the Kaipuzha Unit added colour to the celebrations. The gathering also paid tribute to the late Binny James Moonnuparayil of the Palathuruth Unit. Forane Treasurer Aby Shiby proposed the vote of thanks.
