Detroit: All Saints’ Day was celebrated on Sunday, November 1, at St. Mary’s Knanaya Catholic Parish, Detroit. Sunday School teachers and students jointly selected saints to represent their respective classes as part of the celebration.
The Holy Qurbana began at 10 a.m., with Rev. Fr. Mathew Meledath, Chaplain of the Knanaya Directorate in Canada and Vicar of St. Mary’s Knanaya Catholic Parish, Toronto, as the principal celebrant. Rev. Fr. Joseph Tharayil, Vicar of St. Mary’s Knanaya Catholic Parish, Detroit, concelebrated.
Following the Holy Qurbana, students from each class presented their chosen saints before the parish community. The presentations helped the children learn more about the lives and inspiring examples of the saints.
