Philadelphia: St. John Neumann Knanaya Catholic Mission has achieved its long-cherished dream of owning a church. With this, it becomes the fourth church in the New York Knanaya Catholic Forane and the 16th church in the American Knanaya Catholic Region.

The acquisition of a 5.44-acre property, including a church building, at 749 Durham Road, Newtown, PA 18940, marks a historic milestone in the spiritual journey of the mission. It fulfills the 27-year-long dream of having a church of its own and a dedicated centre for faith formation and community gatherings.

The mission also expressed special appreciation to the General Body and Parish Council members, committee members Gigi Chamakala, Robin Nedumakkal, GP Kattappuram, Thomas Nedumakkal, Sunny Parakkal and Lukose Thathankinattukara, as well as Mission Director Rev. Dr. Bibi Tharayil, for their dedicated efforts in making this dream a reality.
