The function also celebrated the successful completion of more than 3,000 mammogram screenings through the Caritas Mobile Mammogram Unit. As part of Breast Cancer Awareness Month, a new initiative named ‘Pratheeksha’ was also launched. Through the project, 30 patients will be provided breast cancer surgery at the lowest possible cost.

Those who extended support to various initiatives of Caritas Hospital were honoured with A Token of Appreciation. The honourees included George Jacob Puraykkal (Honda), Biju Markose, Managing Director, OJES Automobiles, Rani Zacharias, DGM & Regional Head, South Indian Bank, Kottayam, and Pramod M., Cluster Head, South Indian Bank, Kottayam.

Joint Directors, doctors from the departments of Cardiology, Oncology and Emergency Medicine, Blood Bank staff and other hospital employees attended the function.

The new mobile units are expected to help take healthcare screening, emergency services and blood donation activities to more people. The initiative aims to make essential healthcare services more easily accessible, particularly in rural areas.
