FORT LAUDERDALE, FLORIDA: The “Knanaya Royal Kingdom Pageant,” presented by the KCCNA Women’s Forum of North America (KCWFNA) on the second day of the 16th KCCNA Convention, captivated a packed audience and emerged as one of the major attractions of the convention. The pageant was one of the largest programs organized by KCWFNA to date.
The competition was conducted in three rounds—Introduction, Talent, and Question and Answer. Each contestant showcased personality, talent and confidence on stage. A panel of judges from outside the Knanaya community evaluated the contestants. Organizers said the high standard of competition made the selection of winners particularly challenging for the judges.
In the Queen Category, Stella Plathottathil of Houston was crowned the winner. Shoma Mangattupulikiyil of Detroit was the first runner-up, while Jeena Mattathil of Chicago was the second runner-up.
In the King Category, Jacob Kaniyalil of Tampa won the title. Bernie Mullappally of New York was the first runner-up, and Roger Nellamattam of Houston was the second runner-up.
In the Princess Category, Ashlin Kuzhikatt of Dallas was declared the winner. Mikhayla Machanickal of Tampa was the first runner-up, and Anjali Kunnassery of Chicago was the second runner-up.
In the Prince Category, Isaiah Mullappally of New York emerged as the winner. Samuel Mattathil of Chicago was the first runner-up, while Anthony Nellamattam of Houston was the second runner-up.
The winners were presented with crowns and trophies on the national convention stage.
The event was the result of months of preparation under the leadership of KCWFNA National President Danny Pallattumadathil, with the support of General Secretary Maria Kaitharam, Vice President Leela Mattathil, Treasurer Reshma Kochupurakkal, Joint Secretary Manju Nedumakel, Joint Treasurer Nidhi Kodinjiyil and the national committee.
KCCNA President James Ellickal, Convention Chairman Joby Ooralil and KCWFNA National President Danny Pallattumadathil congratulated the winners and all the contestants. The pageant combined Knanaya heritage, royal elegance, talent and confidence, making it one of the most memorable and popular events of the 16th KCCNA Convention.
