Kuwait: The Kuwait Knanaya Cultural Association (KKCA) celebrated its Christmas–New Year festivities along with the Annual General Body Meeting jointly under the banner “KKCA LUMORA 2025” on Saturday, January 10, at Abbasiya Aspire School. The event commenced at 4:00 PM and witnessed large participation from the Knanaya community in Kuwait.

The program was inaugurated by Sr. Lucy Kurian, Founder and Director of the Maher Organization and a member of the Knanaya community. The meeting was presided over by KKCA President Josekutty Puthenthara, with Joint Secretary Shibu John Urumbananickal delivering the welcome address.

The function was attended by Fr. Sojan Paul, Vicar of Abbasiya Parish, Assistant Vicar Fr. Anoop Abraham, General Secretary Joji Joy Puliyannmanayil, Treasurer Anish M. Jose Muthalupidi, Vice President Albin Jose Athimattathil, and representatives of various feeder organizations including Sini Binoj Olikkal, Sanjos Kollappallil, Master Febin Jinu, Tomy Jose, and Sanoop Sunny, who extended their felicitations. Joint Treasurer Johny Chennatt proposed the vote of thanks.

A colorful Margamkali performance organized by the Kuwait Knanaya Women’s Forum, with the participation of more than 50 women, was a major highlight of the celebration. This was followed by an entertaining Christmas Papa Competition. The program also featured several cultural performances by children and adults. A lively musical evening led by popular young singer and Idea Star Singer winner Joby Johnny added vibrancy to the event.

During the Annual General Body Meeting, the following office bearers were unanimously elected for KKCA 2026: Baiju Theverkattu Kunnel (President), Varun Thekkila Kattil (General Secretary), Joseph Mulakkan (Treasurer), and Shiju Pottanickal (Auditor). Mr. Bino Kadalikkad served as the Election Officer.
