Kottayam,:BCM College, Kottayam, organized the Prof. Kandoth Memorial and an inter-school elocution competition in honor of the late professor. The memorial gathering was presided over by the College Principal, Prof. Dr. Thomas K. V., and was inaugurated by the College Manager, Very Rev. Abraham Parampett.

Former Principal of Uzhavoor College, Prof. Babu Thomas Poozhikkennel, delivered the memorial lecture, reflecting on the life, contributions, and academic legacy of Prof. Kandoth.

The event was held under the leadership of the Prof. Kandoth Chair for Migration Studies. The memorial session featured addresses from Anil Stephen, Jerry Mathew, Reji Thomas, Fr. Baiju Mathew, Dr. Naveena J. Narithukayil, C. Gresna, Ansi Cyriac, and Lakshmi Nayana, each sharing insights on Prof. Kandoth’s influence in the field of education and migration studies.

In the elocution competition, the following participants secured the top three prizes:

• 1st Prize: Evangelin Lijo
  St. Michael’s Higher Secondary School, Kaduthuruthy

• 2nd Prize: Asher Joseph
  St. Anne’s Higher Secondary School, Kuryanad

• 3rd Prize: Mithil Unnikrishnan
  Sacred Heart Higher Secondary School, SH Mount

The winners were awarded by BCM College Bursar Fr. Filmon Kalathra.
