Toronto St. Mary’s Knanaya Catholic Parish Gets Its Own Church

Toronto: St. Mary’s Knanaya Catholic Parish in Toronto, which pioneered the establishment of Knanaya Catholic Church structures in Canada, has acquired its own church. The church, along with three acres of land, is located in Centre Wellington, Ontario.

The achievement was made possible through the leadership and cooperation of Parish Vicar Rev. Fr. Mathew Meledath, trustees John Arayath and Aneesh Thekkedath, Building Committee Chairman Thomas Aayiravelil, and committee members Joby Valiyaputhenpurayil, Sam Karikombil and Deepu Malayil.

The collective support and participation of Directorate Chairman Roy Puthenklam, Secretary Joshi Palathadathil, Directorate Board members, Parish Council members, parishioners and well-wishers from various Knanaya Catholic parishes across North America also played a significant role in acquiring the church.

This is the second parish under The Directorate of Knanaya Catholics in Canada to acquire its own church.
