The winners of this year’s “Karshakashree” awards have been selected at the Saint Mary’s Knanaya Catholic Parish in Chicago.As a part of promoting agricultural crops, the winners were determined by directly seeing and judging the agricultural products grown in the house premises. The judges judged that the agricultural crops grown in the house premises of the contestants were of better quality than each other. Saji & Binu Edakara, who planted the most agricultural crops and turned the house premises into a good vegetable garden, were awarded the first prize. Tajee & Anita Paret got second place. Philip & Elsamma were awarded 3rd place in Nedunduruti. The winners were felicitated and the trophies distributed on Sunday 4th September. Vicar Fr. Thomas Mulavanal and Asst. Vicar Fr. Lijo Kochuparambil and parishioners congratulated the winners and those who participated in the initiative and helped in judging.
