Chicago: A seminar was organized under the auspices of the Men Ministry of St. Mary’s Knanaya Catholic Parish in Chicago. The seminar was organized on the topic of Will & Trust, covering the procedures for preparing a will, the shortcomings of wills, and the formation of a trust to overcome those shortcomings in the context of the special living conditions and legal procedures in America. Attorney Deepa Paul, a well-known lawyer in the Malayali community of Chicago, led the seminar and answered the doubts of the participants. The legal delay that may occur after the death of the deceased in implementing the wills that are usually prepared and the costs that may arise when this has to be implemented through the court were discussed in the seminar. Attorney Deepa Paul shared information about the various types of trusts that are prepared as a solution to this. Men Ministry Coordinator Paulson Kulangara welcomed the participants. Sibi Kaithakkathottiyil delivered the vote of thanks. Along with Vicar Fr. Siju Matakodiyil, Parish Secretary Sister Shalom, seminarians Sabu Kattappuram, Binu Poothura, Lukachan Poozhikunnel, George Mattathiparambil, Nibin Vettikattu, Secretary Sunny Meledam, and PRO Anil Mattathikunnel led the arrangements for the seminar.
