Bensonville Parish Celebrated Women’s Day

Chicago: International Women’s Day was celebrated with various programs led by the Women’s Ministry at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Bensenville. After the Holy Mass, all the women offered flowers to the Blessed Virgin Mary. Then, the oldest woman in the parish was honored by the Bishop of Chicago, Mar Joy Alappatt, with a gold crown. He then recited a special prayer and blessed everyone. Fr. Bins Chethalil led a seminar on the topic of “Women’s Empowerment in the Family”. The women’s group prayed for the repose of the souls of Shiny, a mother who passed away in her hometown, and her children. Hundreds of women participated in the programs.
