A Knanaya Catholic Association was formed in Western Ontario, Canada. On the 1st of December, after the Holy Mass at the Church of the Sacred Heart of Canada, London, KCCNA held a meeting in the Knai Thomman Parish Hall. President Shri Shaji Edatt officially inaugurated the association. In his opening speech, he called on all Knanaites to work together for the betterment of the church and the community, and to strengthen the work of the new association by bringing together young women and men. Shri Feby Thaikkakat, the first president of the association, presided. In his presiding address he appealed to every Knanaite to act as the roots that seek water and fertilizer for the growth of the community. The general secretary of the association, Majeesh Keezhadathumala, welcomed the conference, which was attended by about 250 members and other community lovers from different parts of Canada.
