Chicago: The Joseph Vachachira Memorial Football Tournament organized by the Mission League at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Bensonville for the catechism students was a great success. The teams led by captains Clement Naramangalam and Ram Thannichuvattil participated in the tournament. Mission League Coordinator Ancy Chelakkal, Jubin Panikkasseril, Lijo Mundapalakil, Jobin Parambadhumalayil, and Cyriac Keezhangatt led the arrangements for the tournament. In the match refereed by Aidan Keezhangat, Nevin Panikasseril and Joseph Mulayanikunnel scored hat-tricks. The Green team captained by Clement Naramangalam won the match. Parish priest Fr. Thomas Mulavanal congratulated everyone who provided opportunities for the physical development of the parish’s young missionaries. Asst. Vicar Fr. Bins Chethalil presented the prizes.
