The ‘Bake Sale’ of the child missionaries was notable.

Chicago: Members of the Cherupushpa Mission League of the Sacred Heart Catholic Parish in Bensenville organized a Bake Sale on the occasion of Mission Sunday. This was organized by baking various cookies and other bakery items at home and bringing them to the church to be distributed among the parishioners. This Bake Sale was organized to raise money for the construction of a church in the country. Vicar Fr. Abraham Kalarikkal congratulated everyone who led these arrangements.
Mission Sunday is a day of remembrance observed by Catholics worldwide to pray for missionary areas, review missionary work, and raise funds to support missionary work. The fourth Sunday in October is observed as Mission Sunday by the global Catholic Church. Pope Pius XI first initiated the observance of Mission Sunday in 1926. Mission League Director Ancy Chelakkal, Catechism Director Colleen Keezhangat, and Mission League Executive Members Abigail Keezhangat, Elijah Puzhakarot, Alisha Mundupalathinkal, Benjamin Oliyail, Clayon Naramangalat, and Benjamin Malemundakkal led the arrangements.
