San Jose, California: St. Mary’s Catholic Church in San Jose, California, has kicked off its catechism classes. The kickoff event was a two-day intensive catechism program. The program, held on September 20 and 21, was attended by students in grades kindergarten through 12.
Fr. Akhil Pachikkara and the Visitation Congregation Sisters conducted classes for the children. The Bible teachers also joined in to help them. The classes on the importance of Bible study and Christian values were very informative and included fun games, making it more enjoyable for the children.

After the Holy Mass celebrated ahead of the Catholic Sunday, the Vicar Fr. Jamie Puthussery and Principal Jason Nadakkuzhakkal honored the Catechism  teachers and expressed their gratitude. The kickoff concluded with the evening Mass for the children. After the Mass, the children who won the Bible reading competition were honored.
