Houston: Preparations have been completed for the annual Family Renewal Retreat to be held at St. Mary’s Knanaya Catholic Forane Church in Houston in connection with the Holy Week. The retreat will take place from Thursday, March 19 to Sunday, March 22, 2026. The retreat will be led by the well-known preacher Brother Santosh Karumathra along with Team Shekinah.
The organizers said that extensive arrangements have been made for the faithful and that this year’s retreat, which focuses on strengthening family relationships and spiritual renewal, will be a great blessing for the participants. During the days of the retreat, special arrangements will also be available for the Sacrament of Confession under the guidance of priests.

March 19 (Thursday): 6:00 PM – 9:00 PM
March 20 (Friday): 3:00 PM – 9:00 PM
March 21 (Saturday): 9:30 AM – 5:00 PM
March 22 (Sunday): 10:30 AM – 6:00 PM
English Retreat for Youth
Along with the retreat for adults, special sessions have also been arranged for children and youth on March 21 and 22 (Saturday and Sunday) with the aim of fostering spiritual growth among the younger generation. These sessions will be conducted in English for students from 5th to 12th grade.
During this holy season of Lent, all the faithful are invited to participate in the retreat, which will include preaching of the Word of God, praise and worship, and Holy Mass, with special emphasis on strengthening marital commitment and promoting peace within families, said Vicar Fr. Abraham Mutholath and Assistant Vicar Fr. Joshi Valiyaveettil.
