Detroit St. Mary’s Catholic Church The annual retreat was held in the parish on March 14, 15 and 16. The retreat was led by Rev. Varghese Chakkalakkal (Bishop, Calicut Diocese, Kerala). The reconciliation service was led by Rev. Monsignor. Antony Perumayan and Rev. Fr. Wilson Kandankari. The Retreat for the Sunday school children was led by Anilash Panikulangara, Sean Vadakkepeetika, Matthew George, Joseph Periyapurathu, Maria Vengachuvattil, Brigid Jacob, Tia Jijo, Maria Mathew, Ann Mandapathil, Betsy Puraikkal and Anson Sabu. Rev.Sr. Meera SV M, Rev. Sr. Shalom SV M spoke to the children about their calling. The singing service was led by Jason P. Thuruthel along with members of the St. Mary’s Choir. The parish priest, Rev. Fr. Joseph Tharakkal, along with Trustees Sebastian Vanchithanam and Xavier Thottam, and the parish council members worked for the success of the Retreat.
